Blogging is a COOL THING :)

I love how blogging makes me feel better, especially when I’m going through something really bad. Posting my feelings definitely served as an outlet of my emotions.

Now I gotta head to bed, case study presentation tomorrow at 8am 🙂

Thank You Lord for everything.

My Emergency Room duty.

The second time to be assigned in the Emergency room: I had two straight graveyard shifts in the ER, in a Public Hospital in Cebu City. I was seriously feeling anxious because that hospital is a big one and most of the patients that are brought there are critical. So yeah, on the first day, I together with my partner Eloise was assigned in the Dengue section, it was a separate room, just like a ward and there’s only one confirmed dengue patient lying there, although there were two who are still under observation. Some of my duty mates were assigned at Internal Medicine, Surgical, OB, Pedia section. IM, Surgical, & Pedia Section are the busiest. In the surgical, at 10pm, a very old woman is intubated (SO is holding the Bag Valve Mask) catheterized, unconscious. Another patient was rushed with a bandage around the head, massive rushing out of blood in the forehead, like after an hour or so, she had a seizure. It was the very first time that I’ve seen a patient having seizure, I was seriously nervous good thing it only last for less than 5minutes, though when she was sent to the X-ray Department, she had another seizure. In the Pedia section, there were a lot of kids rushed. Around 4am, a 1-month old baby was brought by her mom, it was very urgent because the baby is cyanotic already. *Code 89,Code 89, Code 89* Doctors intubated the baby, performed CPR for almost an hour, but unfortunately the baby died. It’s real sad to see the significant others, especially the parents cry. Like I can really feel how they feel, I was almost teary-eyed. My duty mate did the post mortem.

On the second day 9/13/11:

Only few patients were there. My heart melted for the boy, who kept on crying because he can’t void, even if he’s in catheter, blood draws from it. He’s with his Grandma.I seriously cried in the Rest Room, I pity them both coz they don’t have money for operation. I prayed to God for at least he’ll feel better, he was crying non-stop. 😦 His grandma kept on checking the doctor in the Nurses Station every time. An intern tried to drain the catheter, pus and blood came out from it. They said the kid needs a Urologist to check on him coz there’s none in that hospital at that moment. I was saddened really. Until now, I can’t help but think how is he doing now. I hope he’s in good condition. 😦

FAVORITE BLOG POST : 22 July 2011 touched by a stranger.

WHY: The first time I’ve read that post, I was even amazed of how thoughtful of a person you are,to think that you are very famous, you act like you are just an ordinary person, talking to people you meet outside your “working world”. You know, I was really touched when I got to read this “strangers can definitely touch and move you, in the exact time that you may need it. pay it forward and go out of your way to do something nice for a total stranger. you’ll never know, they just might need it too”.–by this thought alone, you can give people a picture of your true personality. Only few celebs has the heart like yours, helping people in need(inspite of your busy scheds, empowering people through the web and that I can truly say that you deserve the “THOUGHT MOVER” Title. I’m telling you this not to exaggerate things or whatsoever but mainly because I just love you for who you are,and I love being so INSPIRED by you: YOU MADE ME START TO BLOG(geniuswannabe.wordpress.com. You’ve already read my first blog for you, and I wanna thank you for reading it ❤

WHICH ITEMS I WOULD LIKE TO WIN: Nike Sneakers/ Shirt

WHY: If ever I’d win, I would love to give it to my Mom, it’s her birthday this coming September 6 and it will be the 4th time that she’ll be celebrating her birthday without me, because she’s in Biliran Province and I am studying here in Cebu(10hours away). I would wanna give her a special gift but since I’m depending on her for my allowance, every thing I will buy is basically out from her money and I’m afraid my savings won’t be enough to buy something until the end of this semester. So yeah, I’m grabbing the chance to win the Nike item. THANK YOU ate Bianca, Hope you could read this… i love you to the heavens and beyond ♥♥♥

Just tell me.

I know you don’t like me. I see the dirty looks. I hear the whispers. But you know what? I could care less about what you think about me. In all honestly, it’s you I feel bad for. You’re so pathetic. The only reason you talk to me is to know what’s going on. You just want to have the information of what goes on in my life, but you don’t give a crap about my feelings. You make everything between us a freakin competition. The thing is, you’re horrible at pretending you like me, when it’s written on your face that you have a problem with me. If you have the guts to ask me personal questions about my life, I think you should just admit that you’re not cool with me and get it off your plate. That’s just my opinion though.

So messed up. :(

Do you know how I perceive myself? This is why I’m writing this. First off, I’m impatient- I don’t get to wait a little longer, I can’t sit waiting for something or somebody. In school works, I hate errors: If I think I failed, I don’t want to try anymore. Second, I am lazy that’s actually parallel to being impatient. Haha Truth is, I hate compliments though sometimes I do love it, and it sucks that it makes me overly confident until it gets to the point I’m contented to what I just achieved. Like quizzes, I get the highest score sometimes and people say “Wow, good Job”. Praises are self-esteem boosters and it messes me up if I sink it in in my lazy self. Worst thing is, the next couple of exams, I don’t study anymore, ending up a failing score and everything crazy and there goes depression, self-pitying in me. I am a person with shy personality type, withdrawn, sucks at socializing with people, gets aggressive if pissed off.(lol) Of course I know why I’m like that, to tell you, when I’m still in grade school, I poofed in school, punched by a boy classmate, bullied, almost marched alone in my grade 6 graduation and you know who I have with during these embarrassing, humiliating moments? : MY LONE, AWESOME SELF. It seriously feels like an excruciating pain inside me. I do understand why people around me says I have attitude problem, I am moody, and that I have a totally messed up self. I understand because they had no idea what I have gone through, I hope you know about Developmental Stages of a person’s life right? Well, that sort of explains everything wrong with me. Just recently, I figured out how ALONE I really am. I don’t have a friend that says, “oh hey, what are you doing right now? let’s go somewhere, our friends’ are all going too” and like I’m gonna reserve you a seat with us” and stuffs like that. Yeah, I know you feel sorry reading this stuff but yeah thanks. Haha. Well, I do not literally mean I have no friends, of course I have! But not a single soul who became real close to me like sharing stupid secrets without telling everybody else and not back stabbing you at the end of the day. You know, frankly, I suck at choosing friends. First 6 months of freshmen college year, I was totally called The LONER. Eats alone, goes to school alone, sitting in one corner silently while everybody else is enjoying talking. Later of that year, I had my friends, there were 6 of them. I have yet the people whom I can call “my person”. We eat at the school’s canteen, stroll at the mall after class, studying and doing assignments together except partying though( never done that). We’ve all been real close friends, though 2 of them became irregular students and the other one in our sophomore year got pregnant so she stopped going to school. So there with me is Jey Christine & Gretchen and the new friend Jean Rose. Sadly, in the first semester of our Junior Year, around September 2010, because we were arranged alphabetically, belonged to Block 1 and the rest of us were on the last block( Gretchen enrolled late that’s why she was with us). And here’s the thing, we were I think kind of jealous of Jey’s new acquired friends, we never gone parting, drinking alcohol together and she learned to that with her friends. She didn’t get to communicate with us and all. One day, we were exchanging comments on Facebook and up to the point she perceived that the three of us hates her and so she decided not be friends with us anymore. She hated me the most actually, it really struck my Ego. She was my closest, Best FRIEND in college and now we hate each other. We never talked personally about it for almost a year now. It even sucks because we’re in one block now. Second Semester of the Junior Year, I acquired the so called BFF’s( Serdan, Sarino, Romero, Romanos, Saballa, Salas). I was happy that at least I still have friends but the friendship doesn’t change, inspire, and motivate me as a person. I think it was just for the purpose of COMPANIONSHIP. Senior Year, I’m happy to have my friends now, Jenessa, Melvin Mikee, Kristine Mae. These people have very good personality, they’re excellent in school. They are the ones who tell me that I am good, that I am intelligent that I can do excellent things too. They are my people now, and I can truly attest that this time, I didn’t sucked at choosing my friends and that I did an excellent thing. Sad to tell you this though, we don’t belong to one block anymore Jen & Kristine are Block 2 and Akee is in block 3 and I am in block one. And do you know how God truly understands me? He made me part of Jen and Servila’s group during the RLE week and I only get to be alone during Lecture. Thank You God. (:] I still feel like I am a big disappointment of my family. Everybody sees that I’m gonna be that person teaching at students and patiently saying things repeatedly for years, and be that care-free school principal. Yeah, everyone in the neighbourhood already predicted that before I even know it. And because I am in a different field now, they think I cannot do excellent things. Do you know how it feels when you share your “duty sucks, I-cannot-do-it-anymore” moments with your significant other especially with your mom and gets the feedback: “Since that is what you wanted in the first place, you have to do it, I already told you”. Ahm, duuh? not even word of motivation or inspiration you can get. For sure if she gets a chance to read this, she’s going to tell me that she has done enough, that she is a good mother, trying to give all what we need (definitely not you wanted) and that I have no right to go whining about my life and she’s gonna get my butt out of our house because I have no sense of “debt of gratitude” thingy, which makes me think I am of no importance, no better than other people, useless, lazy, impatient, emotionally unstable, with personality disorder. My mom doesn’t decide things for us, this has been my observation since the time I can perceive myself a living, rational creature. She doesn’t want to be blamed out from her decisions, if you want to do something, you have to take yourself into your own accountability not hers. I cry almost every day when I think about this. In school, people see me as the talkative, foolish version of Regine but unknowingly of them, it’s the opposite. Happy people are those who suffer a lot of problems. Now, see how messed up I am? THESE ARE JUST THE FEW OF THE MILLION REASONS why I am like what those judgemental people say about me. Call me a bad person already, but this is just how I handle myself, thinking that every decisions I make only lies to me not with anybody else.  You have to learn to accept how people judge you, but don’t let it sink in your nerves, especially when you know it’s not true.

Thoughts from a girl who go SKYPE-ing in an exam week

Midterms examinations week.

Normal studs do study for their exams, so what am I? abnormal?. haha. Instead of studying for my brain-squeezing nursing subject exam the next day, I’ve gone SKYPE-ing ( I never study btw). lol

16th of August 2011- Tuesday

Met a lot of people with different personalities in there, there were naughty, annoying, nerdy, geniuses, and funny peps. There was this one guy, whom I chatted before that, and was blocked by me for some reason, told me to unblock him and so we can talk. haha. So yeah I did unblock him right then and we did talk.

From 9:01 pm in RP time and 9am in his time, we’ve talked with cam. He was sooooo funny to talk to, really brilliant. The topics were very random, it’s just popped out of nowhere like how couldLONG DISTANCE RELATIONSHIP possibly work out, what it’s like to be married, and what if feels to be living here in the Philippines and etc. T’was officially the best convo I’ve ever had. We ended up sleeping together at 3:41 am, good thing my exam starts at 1pm.haha.

So yeah, He was the best stranger I met on the web, pretty far from those hornydogs in the chat site, he was totally DIFFERENT. From then on though, we haven’t talked yet. 😦 and I must admit, I miss him.

The inspiration. A thought mover: THE BIANCA GONZALES

I’m a person who’s hard to please, not so particular with famous people really but Bianca Gonzales’ personality really interests me…

I just remember the very first time I joined Twitter, the single most person I have in my mind,to follow is Bianca Gonzales. Yeah, she’s my super girl crush back in high school. I first saw her on TV when she’s still in Pinoy Big Brother House and from then on, I’m a fan.

I admire her so much. I love the way she dresses up. She’s a humble person (I don’t know her personally, but yeah I can see it), she’s pretty inside and out and most of all, BRILLIANT.Every time I watch SNN, I do pay attention when she talks, I’m observing her facial expression, the way she pronounces words and her gestures it’s just that she’s really convincing and very sophisticated.

I so love ATENEO, it’s the very first school I had in mind when I was still in high school that I want to enroll in but geography is the problem and the money. Knowing that Ate Bianca is an ATENISTA, it even added my love for her. (So we’re loving the same school). And we both love McDo. ♥♥♥

She’s also a Unicef Member, an organization works for children’s rights, their survival, development and protection. See how thoughtful and humble this person is? Inspite of her popularity she even manage to help people.

I am in love with the super girl wannabe blog “iamsuperbianca.com”, her blog is sophisticated and inspiring (one reason why I’m doing this now). I find it really sweet every time she features her fans in there, saying how happy and grateful she is to have ‘em and how blessed she is to have the people around her-Optimistic person indeed! she’s really worth admiring! (I never missed reading a post of hers btw).

I Love You Bianca Gonzales, keep inspiring!
